Lucid Dreaming | When you do a FILD where do you put your hand?

I have being some FILD's recently but I do not have any luck with it. I sleep on my left side with my right arm under my pillow and left arm somewhat under my body coming to the right. When I am doing a FILD should I change my sleeping position for it as I do the finger part under my pillow?
