So last night produced an amazing & complex dream that I can only guess was semi-lucid but has baffled me none-the-less.
So Im in a regular non lucid dream and there are a bunch of people (about 5) including me and we are planning to go and make my wife have a lucid dream. We creep into the bedroom which is an exact replica of me and my wifes bedroom, she is in bed asleep. I know that by waking her up and seeing all these people in her room that she will be lucid. We are all excited at the fun we are going to have. (this is all NON lucid and a regular dream at this point)
My wife wakes up and says something about her ipad being stuck on the wall. The others take her outside and into the garden and i follow. They tell me that she has climbed onto the roof and that she is having a great lucid dream. I go into the garden and speak to another girl about how funy it is that we have tricked my wife into a lucid dream and how she is the ONLY one here that is actually lucid as the rest of us are awake.
I then say to one of the other girls' HEY but what if IM the ONLY one awake and ALL of you lot are actually dreaming!' This concept freaks her out so i fly around her twice to prove a point.
Im still very much NON lucid at this point even though the whole dream is about lucid dreaming.
Then i tell het that ill be back in 10 mins and i fly into the street outside. As im walking down the street im KNOW that its a dream but im still not lucid. I then feel the dream collapsing but im AWARE of this and have clarity of mind to know to remain still and try to deild. I wake for real but keep still and try to deild but to no avail
An AMAZING and complex dream but some questions arise as i analyze it
1) Was this a lucid dream? I dont think so because if it was then i would have not stayed in the plot, i would have flown to something more interesting as in previous lucids
2) This is the biggest mystery. For the first time, i KNEW full well that the dream was ending and proved this by purposely remaining still for a deild and so i must have had lucidity to be aware of this ... but I didnt feel lucid at the time.
Confused... can anyone offer any insights as to what type of dream this was?
Im thinking that it was a NON lucid dream dreaming about lucid dreaming where i started to very gradually gain more awareness towards the end?
Thanks guys
