Camping Tips for Beginners

By Jules

If you are reading this, chances are you understand that there is a chance we will all have to fend for ourselves, without the safety and protection of infrastructure and local law enforcement. If that day comes, those who know how to live “off the grid” will be much better positioned than those who never bothered to learn how to be self-sufficient.

One of the best ways to prepare — and have some fun in the process — is to go on a camping and fishing trip. In addition to being a chance to get away from the distractions of everyday life, camping is an opportunity to spend time with friends or family, all while getting a taste of what life would be like if we could no longer rely on a power grid and stocked supermarkets.

When going camping, it’s important to take all of the essential gear you’ll need to survive and enjoy yourself, but it can be easily to overlook a thing or two — especially if you are going with less experienced campers.

Personal Creations has produced an animated infographic that provides simple instructions on how to pitch a tent, build a fire, and fish properly, along with a list of 20 essential items to take with you when camping. Even if you are an experienced camper, it doesn’t hurt to take a look at the infographic to make sure you remember all the essentials on your next camping trip!
