so last night i set my intention to remember to do a wbtb and actually get up for a bit instead of passing back out. in the past i have used an alarm but not this time, i woke up naturally and somehow caught myself in a comfortable sleep paralysis. my mental energy is of the over active type so it didn't take long for me to realize i'd woken up and am in a sp. i tried remembering the last dream i woke from but only vaguely recalled the feeling of the dream, so i decided to move around. i drank some water, closed my window so the traffic wouldn't wake me up and went back to bed. the problem is now i find it difficult to fall asleep again because even after just 5 min awake my brain is running all its noisy useless thoughts. i bet it would have been useful to record the dream i woke from if i recalled it, but based on what i told you that would likely cause me to wake up too much right? also, what do you suggest i do when i wake up in sp, or some state likely to send me straight back to sleep, mantra, recall last dream? those first moments of waking are really evasive making it hard to act on techniques.
