I've been trying various methods lately to increase LDs that I have but haven't noticed much difference. I LD naturally now and then so its not so easy for me to measure if a technique is giving me more LDs or not.
For the last week or so I've been trying SSILD in the morning after about 5 or 6 hours of sleep. I've seen a sharp increase in number of lucids; I've had at least one lucid on each night I practiced SSILD, though I sometimes fail the method because I'm not great at getting to sleep unless I've only just woke. My main problem is that all of these lucids have been incredibly weak. Even for those that have lasted more than a couple of seconds, I don't even try and stabilise the dream and just wander mindlessly. I'm hoping someone with some experience on this method/problem has any pointers for me? I've had very few lucids lately before SSILD, could it be that I just need more time and experience with the method? This morning I was in and out of lucidity and sleep so I feel like I'm very close to getting there, I feel very inexperienced with lucids in general lately.
Another thing is about WILD. I don't intentionally aim for a WILD but if I notice myself going into one I try to stay with it, never had any luck though. This morning I was doing SSILD and was struggling to sleep after but did not move. Eventually I could feel something on my head and could hear a razor noise, the feeling I had was my hair being cut, I then started to see white figures (no detail) pass through my vision. I don't remember my body shaking, only feeling a bit disconnected from me. Then I woke again, does that sound like I was close to a WILD?
