Hi everyone! I want to present to you an app which I recently discovered. It is called "Awoken" and is, as far as I know, only available on Android.
For those of you that don't know this app, it basically reminds you to do a reality check. It lets you choose how many times you want to be reminded during waking life and while you're asleep. It goes like this: Between 7:00 and 23:00: 20 clues (an example).
The great thing about this is that you can choose a sound that is played everytime you're given a clue. In my opinion, the "bubbles" sound is the best, but do see which one works best for you!
This sound is not only played while you're awake, but also while you're dreaming. So it gives you a clue while you're asleep, and if you notice it you perform a reality check and attain lucidity. That's the gist of it.
I've been using this app for about 1 week, and I am very happy with it. It is much more fun for me to question my reality, and I seem to do it constantly and by habit! Even my friends are doing a reality check everytime that bubble sound plays, which adds to the motivation. I haven't had any lucids with this app so far (only had 1 anyways :P) but I feel like it's getting me that much closer.
I do encourage you to try it out for yourselves, because I think you will like it.
I've got one question though: Has anyone ever had success with this method of becoming lucid, or similar others? You know, hearing a sound in your dream and then doing a RC, becoming lucid.
