Lucid Dreaming | Can Random Reality Checks Replace Awareness Practice?

Let's say I decided to do lots of random genuine reality checks throughout the day. What I mean by genuine is questioning if I'm dreaming and really asking myself if I an, believing I truly am dreaming for a bit, then reality checking and expecting it to prove I'm dreaming. After doing my reality check I'll say a mantra to affirm my attention to get lucid. I'd do this lots of times throughout the day randomly, not just when something weird happens because I barely leave my house so weird stuff doesnt really happen for me.

Anyways, I find awareness practice a drag. Would it be fine if my technique for getting dilds is just doing lots of thought out reality checks throughout the day? This seems nice and simple and would fit my style perfectly. I just don't want to think that pure awareness is better than random reality checks. I plan on working up to the point where I'm reality checking so much, I'm bound to reality check atrleast once during my dreams every night.

I just don't want to mess around with pure self awareness and stuff. If I need to, I'll go back to practicing ada and just incorporate random reality checks right into it.

Because I realize that awareness can be practiced any many different ways and I believe that just getting into the habit of randomly asking if I'm dreaming a lot throughout the day is the best awareness practice for me. I just don't want to feel like this method will yield me less lucid dreams than someone who practices some other form of awareness.
