The past several days, I've had a couple dreams where I become, like, half-lucid.
I'll describe a couple.
I was in an old Western town, cowboy era. Adobe buildings loomed over me - they were really tall. Pretty vivid. At one point, I "realized" (for lack of a better word) that this town was a movie set; and then "realized" that I was in a movie. And at this point, I told myself it was a dream.
I remember looking around at the buildings, knowing it was a dream, and it was still very vivid. But the realness declined quickly. I tried to float upwards, and did, but the scene became black and white, like a movie scene. The higher I got, the fuzzier everything around me got. My head wasn't clear enough to decide to do anything else - all I did was float up, almost out of habit. It's something I like to do in almost every lucid dream I get. I woke up quickly.
In another, I don't even remember where I was. All I remember is becoming lucid, and making half-assed attempts at stabilizing the dream by grabbing at random objects, and spinning. Again, it was almost like it was out of habit. My head just wasn't clear enough to really look around and decide what to do. Spinning actually made the dream worse, and at that point I could feel myself waking up. But I didn't even care, or stop spinning. I just kept doing it, almost autonomically, not really observing the dream or even realizing the importance of staying lucid. I woke up quickly again.
So, do any of you become half-lucid like this? You realize you're in a dream, but don't act as you would now, fully conscious. You still act dazed and confused (great movie, btw).
Yees? Or no?
