Hello, Im pretty new to lucid dreaming, and I know it takes a good amount of time to actually attain one, but I want to make sure I'm doing everything right.
I am Doing RC multiple times a day, at least 10, basically whenever I think of lucid dreaming (which is nearly constant now), and I'm not simply just doing the actions, but I am asking myself if I am really dreaming, and looking around seeing if anything is off. I also do a simple statement like "next time I dream, I will look at my hands and realize I'm dreaming". Also, I'm trying to get good at ADA, which so far, has not only helped me with a calmer state, but in the future, hopefully allow me to successfully DILD. I am also dream journaling, however, for the past 2 nights, I haven't been able to remember any of my dreams, almost like I haven't journaled at all before. Before those two nights I was having multiple, pretty vivid dreams that I was able to recall well. That however is now why I am making this post. I'm sure I'm just having some sort of dry spell.
The thing is, I want to know if there is anything I should do? WBTB and any sleep manipulation techniques probably aren't the best for me, considering I have schooling.
When I meditate, or do ADA I try to go down a list sort of, clearing out all of my thoughts, first: I listen to the air, or my breathing. Second: I feel how things are that are touching me, clothes, me walking, etc. Third: I look around me, observe little details, such as a piece of tarnishing on metal, a pebble on the ground, or perhaps a stain on a wall.
I want to know if I will eventually be able to rely on DILD and ADA to lucid dream, basically whenever I want. I know that it will probably take me at least a year to get to that point, but I am willing to do that.
Is there anything else I should incorporate to possible help me improve my chances in lucid dreaming, I haven't had any yet, but I just want to make sure that I'm doing everything right.
