Calling all DEILDers!
My main source of lucid dreams is from the good old DEILD. I find it easy to wake up without moving (when I put my mind to it) and often slipping back into a dream consciously is not an issue. I've had many long fully lucid dreams from this method. However....
I've found that sometimes after doing this technique for a while, it can become ineffective due to 'over-use' or 'technique exhaustion' as I like to call it. I suspect it has something to do with will power and keeping a strong intention night after night. I understand that having the belief that after a while the technique will become ineffective (due to past experience) may itself be one of the main reasons why this happens.
My question is how do I overcome this? I've tried only doing lucid dreaming on the weekends (which works), but is there a way I can attempt DEILD every night without it becoming ineffective?
And is this 'technique exhaustion' even a known thing, has anyone else experienced it?
